All Caves Branch Guides are handpicked and trained by Ian Anderson, Belize's premiere explorer of Xibalba, the Mayan underworld. All guides have undergone intensive training in cave and wilderness rescue and wilderness first aid and are founding members of the Belize Cave and Wilderness Rescue Team.

Botanical Orchid and Bromeliad Gardens

An act of love that will be a never ending project, Ian and Ella Anderson have created the Caves Branch Botanical Orchid and Bromeliad Gardens. Over 3600 sq feet under roof and 10 acres of the lodge grounds, the Gardens already have over 1100 orchids, 100 Bromilliad, 300 other tropical plants on display along side pools and fountains.

Although still under development for years to come, once completed we plan to serve British High Tea every afternoon surrounded by the colors and fragrances of these spectacular plants
