There are many people who come to Belize on vacation but are not sure what there is to do to make it a vacation to remember. We had a couple who stayed at the lodge for 7 nights – perhaps you would enjoy some of the things that they did during their stay in Belize. They were able to do 5 adventures and were totally enjoying themselves by the end of their vacation. Read on to find out what they did during their vacation.
“Everyone was super friendly and the grounds are beautiful. We visited in December, and the weather was excellent. As for the adventures that we did, day one was ATM tour great if you like adventure and history of Mayan people and rituals. There is a full size skeleton in the cave and many artifacts. Day 2 we kayaked the river. Beautiful and serene, we saw lots of iguana's and birds. Our guide Darrel was great, friendly and informative of the wildlife in the area. Day 3 we snorkeled, saw sea turtles, and lots of beautiful reef fish. The highlight was the black hole drop and the cave waterfall excursion. Black hole drop is a nice hike through the jungle with a 300 ft rappel. The guides were great, and I felt 110% safe. Carlos and Alex were the best! Waterfall excursion consisted of an hour hike through caves followed by climbing and jumping off of these amazing waterfalls.
The jungle bungalow was where we stayed, and the room was great. Screened in so you can hear the sounds of nature (howler monkeys call was super cool) and the outdoor shower was a unique experience. We were upgraded to the tree house for 2 nights and I can't say enough how beautiful it was. Amazing view of the jungle canopy. There are a lot of stairs getting up to the treehouse, but soo worth the climb up.
There is a park across the road from Cave's Branch called the Blue Hole. It’s worth the 15 minute walk to visit. There are also a lot of hikes that you can do if you have a day off and want to explore.
The food at CB was delicious and served family style, which was nice to meet people, and get an idea about the different adventures. They even made a special dessert for me every night that was gluten free.
We had the pleasure to meet Mr. Anderson and his wife. Really nice people who join you for dinner every night. Argus the mastiff is cute and likes to hang out.
In a nutshell, I can't say enough about this place. It was the exact vacation we were looking for. We've done the all-inclusive sit by the pool vacations, and this was a very active, adventurous trip.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is adventurous!”
