We have had so many guests in all our years of operation and we are still very happy and excited to know that our guests really did have a wonderful time at the lodge. The feeling will never get old! We are always glad to welcome new and returning guests for a bit of paradise and adventure in the jungle. Here’s a review from one of our most recent guests who came all the way from San Antonio.
“OK, let’s get this straight. Ian Anderson's Caves Ranch Jungle Lodge is NOT an adventure park. That only becomes important when you add on the Adventure Company tag.
If you think that sitting around a hot tub and swimming pool with a cool beverage in your hand and listening to tropical sounds day and night is for you. This will work out fine. You can choose your level of lodging luxury from basic to plush. If you can walk 100 yards at a time you can also enjoy the botanical garden, morning birding, evening jungle strolls, cheese making classes and sometimes tasting. So, if all that adventure stuff is not your idea of a vacation, do not worry. You can relax your time away.
If, on the other hand, you want all of the above to come home to in the evenings after more adventures than you’ll ever engage in on one vacation, you won’t be disappointed either. They range from the not so challenging to the “OMG, what did I sign up for?” We did the OMGs. Our beds never felt so good. You want good food but are leery about “Jungle fare”? Well, rest easy. In fact you should begin to anticipate some really great food prepared by a great chef and served in a unique buffet fashion that allows you maximum choice and great variety. ALL food is prepared on site under the very best supervision and conditions. Water, even, is locally controlled and filtered.
You want service with a smile and attention to your needs? The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The only ones I didn’t want to befriend are the ones I wanted to adopt.
So, now you’re thinking this guy must have gone on the first vacation in his life and is just overwhelmed by getting away from home for once. Not so. We have more than 35 countries under our belts, traveling in all sorts of ways and enduring some of the worst and best experiences of travelers around the world. We loved Belize. We loved Ian Anderson's Caves Branch. We recommend it to anyone. “
I think the “OMGs” does justice to our most challenging and fun adventures. It’s a quite appropriate way to refer to those adventures. But like our guest said above we have many adventure tours that range from very easy such as bird watching to very challenging such as the black hole drop or maybe even the waterfall cave expedition. If you are in for more of a jungle adventure you might want to try the Overnight caving expeditions this is also one of the OMGs. You will want to come back to Belize for all your vacations until you have tried all the adventures.
