Of all the places in the world that solo Travel Writer Lisa Eldridge has experienced, she chose Caves Branch as the most memorable!
Travel Writer and founder of "Girl about the Globe" Lisa Eldrige travels the world solo, searching for adventure while living and working in many exotic countries. Since the age of 21 she has given in to her passion to see the world by travelling. She doesn't use a guide book, preferring to reach out to the locals and book with the most responsible of companies.
Her degree in Journalism and MA in Creative Writing, along with extensive experiences in solo travel throughout the world, led to the creation of "Girl about the Globe". This website is geared toward single women travelling solo and looking to make a difference and be safe while doing it. She is also a travel blogger and freelance journalist published in Insight Guides, Sunday Times Travel and Real Travel Magazine.
A recent interview by HotelsCombined.com led to the question "What has been your most memorable hotel experience?" and her answer was "Staying at Caves Branch in a luxury two story treehouse in a Belize Jungle Resort is definitely up there. Sleeping with the sound of howler monkeys just outside my window and coconuts falling on the roof was one of the best (and scariest) experiences I've had. The hot tub on the roof with views of the incredible jungle surroundings was definitly a bonus."
On her site Lisa says some of the highlights of her trip to Belize were the Waterfall Cave Expedition,
and the Crystal Caves, one of which can be seen on our River Cave Expedition.
These are two of our signature Caves Branch tours and are favorites among those seeking adventure in nature. Our goal of being an ecologically responsible member of the tourism industry meshed well with Lisa's mission "To inspire women to travel independently, smarter and ethically and make a difference to local communities and projects all over the world, one footprint at a time."
Caves Branch is also mentioned on her Extreme Adventure in Belize page, where to stay in Central America page and travelling solo in Belize page. Thank you again Lisa.
