Kids and Caves Branch Belize
At first we were not sure that Ian Anderson's Caves Branch Jungle Lodge was suitable for anyone under the age of 15. The adventures require a level of commitment and strength that we weren't sure kids had. Boy were we wrong!
1. Rappelling into the Black Hole!
2. Cave tubing to the Footprint Cave!
We have since found that most of the time a kids lack of inhibition allows them to be the first to jump off the ledge into the water below, while an adult may hesitate (for awhile!).
3. Jumping off high banks into fresh mountain streams!
The wonder and awe, that our adventures inspire, pours out of our little guests and infects the whole group.
4.Exploring the Footprint Cave.
5. Cave tubing inside the caves
A child, seeing the crystal caverns for the first time, gasps "Wow!!!". Then the adult's inner child wakes up and looks with anticipation to see the magic that surrounds them.
6. Experiencing cave creatures up close!
7. Drinking fresh water filtered through tons of rock!
Children are also extremely resilient and we have found that, after one of our buffet breakfasts and fresh OJ, they can hike, climb and swim all day and still have energy for the pool, botanical gardens tour or a hike by the river at dusk
8. Swimming in the pools!.
9. Exploring the Jungle Lodge grounds!
After stuffing themselves at dinner and a sound sleep in one of our rooms, they wake up the next day full of energy and ready to embark on a new adventure. This is one time they wont mind getting on the school bus!
10. Family style buffets where you can eat your fill!
11. You also get to ride a school bus to some of the adventure tours!
With so many adventures to choose from each day will be new and exciting for you and your kids and you will never get bored at Ian Anderson's Caves Branch Jungle Lodge.
12. Visit amazing Mayan ruins!
13. Go river tubing with the whole family!
We could go on and on but instead we'll let you come and discover some for yourself, see you soon!
