On July 4, 2017, Culture Trip Magazine, a global media publication with more than 7 million monthly readers, published an article entitled "15 Magical Treehouses You Won't Believe Exist in Central America" that features the luxury tree houses available at Caves Branch Lodge in central Belize.
More than 20 years ago, a Canadian named Ian Anderson came to Belize to assist with the opening of a major hotel. Drawn to the unspoiled beauty of the rainforests and jungles in central Belize, Anderson soon found himself leading expeditions on the weekends to share the wonderment and magic of the countryside with fellow travelers and expats. Eventually, Ian Anderson used his favorite staging spot a few miles outside of Belmopan, the nation's capital, to found what would later become Caves Branch Adventure Co & Jungle Lodge.
Initially not much more than a primitive camp on the banks of the river, the Lodge began to grow, eventually becoming the country's premier jungle resort. And one of the resort's most popular accommodations is its luxury tree houses that elegantly blend modern comfort with the surrounding nature.
"We are very thrilled to have our tree houses get such a favorable mention in Culture Trip Magazine," said Rhoda Gill, marketing manager at Caves Branch. "We built our tree houses so that guests could relax in luxurious comfort while getting a unique bird's eye view of the jungle and river valley. Words simply cannot describe how magical it is when you're immersed in nature hundreds of feet up in the air in one of our tree houses."
Caves Branch Lodge now has several tree houses to choose from, but all of them come with gorgeously appointed modern interiors that include local hardwoods and marble finishing. Every tree house has running hot and cold water, a television, and comfortable beds along with at least one screened-in porch that is perfect for getting an unobstructed experience of the jungle's trees and animals.
The Lodge specializes in luxury jungle accommodations and exciting adventure expeditions in the region. Caves Branch Lodge perfected the uniquely Belizean sport of cave tubing where participants sail down subterranean rivers on inner tubes, and organizes other events like night treks through the jungle, rock climbing waterfalls, caving, educational forays through the resort's on-site botanical gardens, horseback riding, rafting, and the signature Jungle Quest expedition that is reserved for only the hardiest adventurers.
Culture Trip Magazine is a global publication that has published more than 41,000 lifestyle articles on a variety of subjects, including art, travel, and culture.
