Discover the mysteries of the Belizean rainforest after dark with our Night Life Wildlife Tour at Ian Anderson’s Caves Branch Adventure Company and Jungle Lodge. As the sun sets and the jungle comes alive, embark on an unforgettable nocturnal adventure led by our expert guides. Equipped with headlamps and a keen sense of the wild, you’ll navigate the dense jungle trails, encountering an array of wildlife that thrive under the cover of darkness. From elusive owls and colorful frogs to the occasional sight of a kinkajou or tarantula, the rainforest reveals its hidden wonders in the night.
This immersive experience is not only thrilling but also deeply educational, as you’ll learn about the delicate ecosystems and the importance of conservation efforts. We’re proud to support the Panthera Belize Program, dedicated to the protection and survival of Belize’s wildcats, including the majestic jaguar. By joining this tour, you’re directly contributing to the preservation of these incredible species and their habitats.
While the wildlife in the jungle often senses us before we know they’re near, making it unlikely to encounter certain creatures on the trail, the images below—captured by our night trail cameras located just 50 feet from the Welcome Center—offer a glimpse into what lives among us as you walk through the night. The jungle holds its secrets—come uncover them with us.
Our tours are best experienced as part of an all-inclusive package
but can also be booked individually.
“I did 2 days worth of Birdwatching and was the only one with my guide Marvin who is wonderfully passionate about birds as I am! He had an eagle eye and helped me add many “lifer” birds to my list, even wrote down the names of the birds we saw for me!”
